Account Strategist - part time

Position Overview
Provides strategic guidance and expertise for the agency providing subject matter expertise on client business, category and consumer insights. The Account Strategist works closely with analytics, creative, media and account teams to create work that’s on-strategy. This position requires an individual who is fluent with data and is able to create a broader story from it, provide strategic recommendations to the agency and be a strong client partner.
This position requires a creative, analytical and collaborative team-oriented approach with a solid understanding of our company goals and values.

Essential Functions
  • Provide leadership and guidance to develop strategic integrated marketing campaigns
  • Effectively manage and understand all research relating to the audience, brand, culture and media channels
  • Lead research projects including designing and conducting qualitative research groups
  • Forecast, report and optimize data to form concepts, ideas and plans
  • Provide the creative team with clearly defined briefs enabling them to develop creative ideas that may be applied to a variety of media channels
  • Recommend and evaluate research that will aid in consumer insight gathering and strategy development processes.
  • Communicate ideas, POVs and strategies to the clients and teams
  • Build productive relationships with teams throughout the agency and help shape ideas during campaign development
  • Develop accurate and insightful conclusions from research data and present insights and recommendations
  • Lead internal agency creative briefings in collaboration with account management
  • Monitor cultural and social trends, their impact on consumers’ attitudes, behavior and perceptions, using a variety of market and research data
Behaviors & Key Accountabilities
  • At least 7 years’ experience in brand strategy development and research
  • A strong understanding of integrated advertising across multiple media forms, as well as a knowledge of branding with proven experience in delivering effective digital business strategy
  • Solid working knowledge with quantitative and qualitative research experience and the ability to conceptualize, lead and present research studies
  • Familiarity with a wide range of research and intelligence sources
  • Evidence of success in developing brands and delivering them to market
  • A proven ability to manage and set client expectations and to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven process
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Keynote, Zoom, Basecamp, Dropbox
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
