Senior Accountant (FULL-TIME)

Position Overview

We're looking for a Senior Accountant with 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience to join our team.   

Responsibilities include financial and regulatory reporting, maintaining and improving accounting systems and processes and performing all general accounting duties including accounts payable, bank reconciliations and budgeting. In addition, this position actively works with all departments within the organization.

Behaviors & Key Accountabilities

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Maintenance of financial reporting systems supporting GAAP and statutory basis accounting
  • Full scope responsibility for GL and support of AP & AR
  • Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes in addition to month-end revenue
  • Completing monthly bank reconciliations, preparing journal entries and reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Reviewing approvals of invoices for accuracy and process vendor payments
  • Assisting in the analysis of monthly budget reports and administering accounting procedures including internal controls
  • Researching accounting rules and regulations and making recommendations regarding company policy
  • Special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year accredited college or university
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years general accounting experience
  • Direct experience and maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable and payroll systems
  • Professional, self-organized and motivated
  • Deadline and solution-oriented
  • Committed to service excellence and demonstrates good judgment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task with great attention to detail
