Position Overview

Creative, California-based agency is looking for a Senior Copywriter. This person is responsible for the creation of impactful, on-brand copy & concepts for clients, and will also serve as the copy expert and resource for various verticals. This includes translating concepts into engaging and compelling concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences and managing the copy process with disciplines across the agency. This position requires a creative and collaborative team-oriented approach with a solid understanding of our company goals and values.

Essential Functions
  • Research relevant industry, product corporate strategy, and marketing best practices
  • Partners with other Associate Creative Directors to develop ideas and compelling campaigns for assigned clients.
  • Write innovative copy for marketing materials, including client presentations
  • Developing integrated presentations
  • Establish tone and ensure consistency with brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with other copywriting staff to ensure a consistent voice across media, campaigns, and publications
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to achieve the client’s objectives through creative imagery and effective message/copy strategies
  • Participate in concept and creative brainstorming sessions
  • Help develop and maintain processes for efficiency and best-practices
  • Proactively improve existing copy and develop governance guidelines for ensuring maintenance and removal of outdated content
  • Work with account, strategy and production to deliver content in line with editorial calendars
  • Keep current with client and category objectives, trends, and competitive advertising

Qualifications & Education
  • 4 – 8 years professional advertising/marketing or corporate communications writing experience
  • An extensive portfolio of advertising creative
  • Experience within agency environment
  • Demonstrated ability to produce persuasive messages in all medias – video, print, digital
  • Solid technical writing ability
  • Outstanding grammar, proofreading and editing skills
