Public Relations Manager
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary client contact and manager of the client relationship, providing leadership, solid counsel, and overall shepherding of the relationship
- Maintain a strategic view of clients’ business and set key performance indicators for accounts that align with client’s business goals
- Write and edit PR plans, press releases, pitches, press kit materials, etc.
- Brainstorm and design creative, PR-worthy events, campaigns, and promotions
- Pitch and maintain relationships with top-tier media at the local, regional, and national level
- Consistently secure significant press across online, print, and broadcast outlets
- Facilitate and attend media interviews for clients
- Develop, negotiate, and manage relationships with influencers
- Write high-quality media materials, including bylined articles, awards, and speaking submissions.
- Develop and deliver client presentations
- Manage monthly reporting
- Serve as an industry expert, consistently monitoring news trends relevant to 62ABOVE’s clients and competitors.
- Participate and lend expertise to new business development
- Mentor junior staff and collaborate with other 62ABOVE disciplines
- Attend and actively seek out professional growth education programs
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the public relations field
- National travel and hospitality media pitching experience required
- Superior writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of digital and social media activations and how to utilize these platforms for public relations purposes
- Experience managing and developing influencer marketing programs with proven results
- Previous experience supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Be flexible, collaborative, and driven to achieve results
- Strong self-motivation and work ethic
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a closely related field is ideal but not mandatory
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary at 62ABOVE is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $79,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of 62ABOVE’s total compensation package for employees
