Featured StoryIndian Casino Gaming Surges Post Pandemic Through Creative Marketing Efforts Recently we had the opportunity to attend the National Indian Gaming Association’s (NIGA) annual conference, the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention held in Las Vegas. Amid tribal leaders, industry experts, gaming specialists and marketers, the conversation was lively about the future of Indian gaming. Tribes from across the US were represented, gathered with the purpose of improving their businesses across a variety of categories.
We were most interested in the discussions surrounding best practices and innovations in marketing. With many gaming clients fueling our agency expertise, we’re always looking to improve our understanding and increase our creative idea generation. This was a great place to do just that.Read More

WILDCOAST's Million Mangroves Mission
|
|
 |
We're excited to be working with WILDCOAST, an international non-profit dedicated to conserving and restoring coastal and marine ecosystems. Their current work is centered around mangroves, more specifically, planting 1 million mangroves to help combat their rapid decline. Quick facts: mangrove forests grace over 85,000 square miles of saltwater coasts in 118 tropical and subtropical countries. They sequester 50 times more carbon than rainforests, provide critical habitats for thousands of fish species (from 1-inch gobies to 10-foot sharks), and buffer communities against hurricanes, storm surge, and sea level rise. Yet, they're endangered and disappearing rapidly.
62ABOVE has named this critical initiative "Million Mangroves Mission," and the ask is simple: for every $1 donated, a mangrove sapling will be planted. With website, digital, and donor outreach assets in the works, we're honored to be working alongside WILDCOAST to help protect these carbon-sequestering powerhouses.Click to learn more and donate

Our Memorable Olympic Moments
|
|
 |
The Tokyo Summer (2020) Olympics are over and although they may not have enjoyed the highest viewership, some of us were still watching. With some degree of anticipation, humor and delight, we sat poised on the edge of our couches watching live events in the wee hours. Following are some of our random observations about the games this year:
-
Pierce Cooley: Katie Ledecky winning FOUR golds was a huge highlight. That and really pondering my life choices while watching Cuba and China go neck and neck in dual-stand-up canoe. Go to bed, Pierce. Go to bed.
-
Jon Bailey: I don’t know why, but the Olympic synchronized swimming routines always make me cry with laughter. They all just seem like TikTok memes waiting to happen. Duet THIS!
-
Greg Carson: I really like watching the wrestling. But why aren’t John Cena and Dwayne Johnson competing? I think they’d do really well.

Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau
Pop the corks! We’re proud to announce that 62A has been chosen as Agency of Record for Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau. After a competitive process, we were selected by the tourism bureau to provide strategy, creative and media services on the $2.5 million account. Building on a successful relationship that began in the Spring with MCCVB’s comeback campaign “Now is the Moment”, we’re already at work on new programs and campaigns for the fiscal year. We could not be more proud to represent one of the most beautiful destinations on the West Coast. |

One Club San Diego
San Diego's creative community asked for submissions of the best creative work developed during the pandemic. Our work for The San Diego Foundation was selected by One Club San Diego as one of the Top 19 (get it? COVID-NINETEEN) pieces of creative from 2020. “The Heartbeat of San Diego” is a video we produced to represent all the wonderful things this community foundation supports across our region. This video is truly a love letter to San Diego, shot according to strict COVID-19 protocols and featuring beautiful moments in everyday life. |

Serving Seniors
We're in the middle of producing a celebratory video for Serving Seniors, a nonprofit in San Diego dedicated to providing food, housing and comfort to senior citizens living at risk. The video will honor the organization’s 50th Anniversary as well as 25 years of accomplishments by the organization’s Executive Director, Paul Downey. To debut at Serving Seniors’ Sunshine Gala in September, the video is designed to have a lifetime beyond the fundraising event to serve as an important communications tool for years to come.
