Baja California - The Road Awaits

|
In partnership with the tourism bureau for the State of Baja California, the 62A PR team helped launch the state's rebrand on April 12, which includes a brand new logo, website and name. Previously known as Baja Norte, the northern region has returned to its historic name of Baja California. In addition to the new look and name, the team worked closely with Tijuana-based production agency, Spécola, to launch "The Road Awaits”, a video campaign created to remind U.S. travelers of the beauty and adventure that lie beyond the border. The press release announcement was picked up by more than 140 outlets, including mentions in TravelPulse, Border Report and Fox 5 San Diego. |

Pierce Cooley Executive Producer |
Hometown: Born in San Francisco, grew up in Sacramento, became an adult in LA, and fell in love with San Diego.
Favorite Vacation Spot: Costa Rica! We visited last year (right before lockdown), and fell completely in love. Good people, good food, and even better cocktails! Oh, and the biodiversity ranging from tropical rainforest to desert to beach is a big plus too!
Most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten: Probably when my friend's dad challenged me to a crab eat-off at a backyard BBQ at their house in Boston. I don't even particularly care for crab, but that dang competitive streak...
What are you listening to right now - and why: Zoom calls ... cuz ... Covid. Oh, and an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast is probably on.
What are you most passionate about at work: I'm a producer, so I live for the moment when the camera starts rolling and the director yells 'ACTION!' for the first time. All the worries in the world seem to fall away, and the fun begins!
If you were an animal, what would you be: I've always wanted to be able to fly. Frigates are birds that rarely flap their wings, and one has even been tracked staying aloft for over TWO MONTHS. That's my kind of cruise.
Surprise party for your birthday - yes or no: Who me? Attention?! Ok fine, surprise me.
What was your first job: I sold melons at my grandpa's roadside fruit stand! |
