The Viv Hotel offers visitors to Anaheim a sophisticated alternative to most hotels located near Disneyland. Just outside the park, with easy access to the freeway, sitting atop the hotel is the elegant Top of the V, featuring Spanish-influenced cuisine served alongside spectacular views.

Challenge

Raising awareness in local and feeder markets is a key initiative, since driving traffic to the restaurant is one of the property’s primary goals. Hotel management tasked 62ABOVE with securing coverage by So. California influencers and writers, with an emphasis on food & beverage and family travel.

Solution

The team manages a steady cadence of hotel visitation primarily by influencers who cover F&B in Orange County/LA, are family travelers, or Disney buffs. We carefully curate our influencer list since the hotel can only offer one or two FAM visits per month. Our proprietary outreach and negotiation method ensures we engage influencers who speak directly to our audiences with positive messaging and strong imagery. We dig deep to find news opportunities and round ups, while pitching holiday promotions, special F&B events, and hosting media FAMs.

Results

In just five months, we have secured impressive press coverage and while there is more interest in the property than the hotel can accommodate, we have secured FAM visits with influencers who speak directly to our core audiences.
